De cruise control werkt in combinatie met een draagreep of duimregelaar.
 
Wanneer je in een bepaalde stand rijdt en de cruise aanzet blijft je in deze stand rijden, dus kan je de draagreep of duimregelaar loslaten (stand 0 %) en nog steeds dezelfde assistentie krijgen.
Vanaf dan kan je de snelheid ook regelen met de cruise control door op + of - te drukken.
